A unique voyage on the Aranui 5

Aranui Cruises has proudly unveiled its latest incarnation, the ultimate passenger freighter Aranui 5. Dubbed their ‘crowning jewel’ of a 30 year long pursuit to design the perfect vessel, Aranui Cruises has made the details of their upcoming freighter public on their website, featuring rendered images of the ship, deck plans, cabin information and day-by-day itineraries for future customers to pour over.

Scheduled for its maiden voyage in the South Pacific’s striking waters in early 2016, customers can experience the captivating Marquesas Islands on a freighter custom built with passenger comfort and desires in mind. With a capacity for 254 passengers, the Aranui 5 offers ample accommodation options, from single staterooms to new premium and deluxe categories.

Sit back and soak up the scenery as you drift by, lounging by the pool, on the deck or sipping a cold beverage in the bar. Make sure to stick around after your 3 course dinner, as the lively Aranui Band will show you why the Polynesian rhythm is hard to resist. A private, romantic setting is never far away – retreat to your private balcony and watch as the sun joins the sea as another day draws to a close in the South Pacific.

Aranui’s 14-day roundtrip cruises from Papeete visit Nuku Hiva, Ua Pou, Tahuata, Fatu Hiva, Hiva Oa, Ua Huka in the Marquesas, Takapoto and Rangiroa in the Tuamotus and the famed Bora Bora. While passengers disembark and explore the culture and adventures the local islands have on offer, the freighter line dispenses a lifeline of food, fuel and other staples to these remote islands.
