The Prince Akatoki London opens its doors
Japanese design takes centre stage at the inaugural Prince Akaktoki hotel, opening near London’s iconic Marble Arch.
The Prince Akatoki London opened this week, marking the inauguration of the newly launched global brand owned by Prince Hotels.
Previously The Arch London, the dwelling has been completely overhauled into a new five-star property after a multi-million pound refurbishment. The hotel blends a refined Japanese aesthetic with a unique sense of Western heritage, creating a one-of-a-kind urban sanctuary.
Owned by Seibu Holdings, President & Chief Executive Officer, Takashi Goto said the new global brand name bears the company’s flagship brand “The Prince” of Prince Hotels.
The Prince Akatoki brand “aims to raise the awareness of Prince Hotels by making full use of the brand value of Prince Hotels in Japan. Akatoki is an old expression of Akatsuki meaning sunrise, before dawn, a new beginning and speaks to a new time for Prince Hotels and Resorts, reflecting our international growth of the business.”
The Prince Akatoki London features 82 guest rooms and suites with a light and minimalist aesthetic, a Japanese-inspired restaurant called TOKii and The Malt Lounge & Bar, a sophisticated late-night destination. Both venues are scheduled to open in October 2019.
