For travellers who seek the finest that the world has to offer

6 mind-blowing superyachts you can charter

Mega-yacht charters are having their moment. For those who like to set sail in style, now might just be the time, writes Kirstie Bedford.

Beach clubs, glass-bottom pools, cinemas and wellness centres are all to be found on these opulent ocean liners. And they’re no longer reserved solely for the celebrity set. See it as an investment in your lifestyle (albeit a considerable one) and you too can live a life most can only dream about. Ready to discover some of the world’s most deluxe mega-yachts?

Lady Kathryn V superyacht

Drink cocktails on your private terrace while you watch the sky turn a pretty shade of pink. Then settle in for an evening movie in the cinema. Lady Kathryn V is a five-star floating superyacht designed for ultimate luxury and comfort – and it hasn’t missed a beat. Soak in the jacuzzi or listen to the dulcet tones of the Steinway grand piano. There’s also a 12-seater dining table, full gym and mini driving range. Charter her in the summer, and the Mediterranean is your playground. And Lady Kathryn V has no shortage of toys: kayaks, sea bobs, jet skis, stand-up paddle boards, water skis, wakeboards, and two tenders to explore the turquoise seas.

Opulent mega yacht Ahpo

A self-playing Steinway piano in the main salon sets the scene for what awaits onboard Ahpo. This 115-metre striking superyacht charter is all style. There’s a grand staircase, elevator, helideck and eight spacious suites, including a two-storey owner’s apartment. On the lower deck, a nature-themed wellness area has a plunge pool, sauna, massage room, beauty salon and hammam in vibrant mosaics. And a panoramic winter garden with an array of plants provides the perfect space to take pause.

Lana Superyacht by Benetti

Her engine might be powered by British- owned Rolls-Royce, but Lana is all Italian. Built by Benetti, Lana’s interior harks back to her homeland. The décor is largely leather, light wood and marble, while furniture is sourced from Italian designers – all emanating a pared-back, opulent feel. There are eight cabins and multiple decks for lounging and entertaining, as well as a beach club, sauna, pool, gym and spa – perfect for a day of pampering. Days ashore can be had in one of three tenders, or take out the jet skis and towable toys for hours of lighthearted fun in the sun.

95-metre Madsummer

A blaze of colour distinguishes 95-metre German superyacht Madsummer from its counterparts. Almost every shade of blue appears to have been in the design brief. Yet it all ties in harmoniously to create a light, vibrant space that screams fun. There are 10 cabins, each with a different colour scheme ranging from orange to aqua. Style has not been spared with Calacatta marble and sycamore cabinetry. A heli-deck at the bow, tenders, jet skis and a jet board will provide endless entertainment. While on board there’s a striking pool and spa pools, an expansive beach club, and all the deck space you could ever want for lounging.

Outdoor living on O’Pari

With a Mediterranean-inspired design, the 95-metre custom-built yacht charter O’Pari has been created with outdoor living at its ethos, with expansive decks and a beach club vibe. There’s a large swimming pool, Jacuzzi, bar, steam room, hammam, massage room and outdoor cinema. Built in Greece, it’s as much goddess inside as it is out, with a grand staircase, custom-made art and decorative walls of handmade bronzed liquid metal and mother-of-pearl. There are 13 bespoke staterooms, including a VIP suite with his-and-hers dressing room and marble bath.

Superyacht charter Sherakhan

A former training ship for the Dutch Maritime Institute, this almost 70-metre motor yacht has been completely transformed into a ship fit for royalty. There are 13 suites (two VIP cabins), an 18-person Jacuzzi, a fully equipped gym, spa, beauty salon and a massage room. Spacious decks have hammocks and sunbeds for lounging and come sundown, there’s a professional DJ deck and full lightning set up for hours of entertainment.
