Six Senses Belize will open in 2025
Belize’s Ambergris Caye is arguably one of the most beautiful places in the world. The tropical paradise is known for exquisite white sand beaches, pristine water and incredible snorkelling.
Now Six Senses has upped the ante on this incredible destination.
The new Six Senses Belize at Ambergris Caye will feature 24 two to seven-bedroom residences spread along a private beach when it opens in 2025. Some will be available for purchase, so you could own your own slice of paradise.
But that’s not all. Because this resort holds a luxurious secret.
Six Senses secret island
As if the main resort wasn’t luxurious enough, Six Senses Belize also has a secret island – five minutes away from the caye by speed boat.
This stunning 10-acre private island will contain overwater villas and an “over-the-top wellness village” with an anti-aging centre, alchemy bar, yoga rooms and spa.
Six Senses is building the resort using sustainability principles. The resort will contain renewable wood, and solar power. It plans to encourage diverse native plant growth to serve as a habitat for Belize’s stunning and rare birds.
“The emphasis has been placed on sensitive integration of landscaping to connect guests with nature and allow for greater privacy and coveted ‘desert island’ appeal,” Neil Jacobs, chief executive of Six Senses said.
“We’ve drawn inspiration from local craft and Belizean life, capturing the spirit and history of Mayan architecture and local heritage.
“Everything has been done to embody a new generation of travellers, eager to make memories while preserving the island for future generations.”
Belize is two hours from Miami and four hours from New York. Guests can transfer to the islands via boat or helicopter.
