The Australian-based company has also released a number of new exciting programs to trending destinations such as the Kimberly and Rottnest Island.

Scenic has unveiled its 2021/22 Australia program, introducing a new journey through the Kimberley and smaller group sizes which will be capped at 24 passengers.

The Endless Wonders of Australia brochure collection comprises two new regional guides and 12 small group itineraries spanning the Northern Territory, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania and Norfolk Island.

The 2021/22 program has been curated by Scenic’s highly experienced local expert, Liz Crowley, Scenic Journey Designer Australia, New Zealand and Africa.

“Over recent years we’ve had one Australia brochure which was driven by convenience and to ensure agents could rack them. With the rise in demand for holidays closer to home we recognised that Australians are looking for tailored options,” Crowley told Signature Luxury Travel & Style’s sister title LATTE.

Crowley said the smaller groups in 2021/22, down from the previous maximum of 40 travellers, was driven by Scenic’s commitment to COVID health and safety requirements. Already, based on interest from Scenic’s Australia Preview program released a few months ago, the company has witnessed strong demand for its Kimberley and Northern Territory itineraries in the coming years. Such has been the popularity of those journeys that additional dates have been added to the roster.

The expanded domestic program will support the local industry, particularly Kangaroo Island which was devasted by bushfires last summer.

A new addition for 2021 is the 13-day Mystical Kimberley itinerary, a highlight of which is a flight directly into Purnululu National Park for an overnight stay in the heart of the Bungle Bungles. This tour also features visits to Kakadu National Park, Katherine Gorge and the famed Gibb River Road with an overnight stay at Emma Gorge Resort in El Questro Wilderness Park.
