Regent Seven Seas names its newest luxury cruise ship

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced the name of its highly anticipated new ship as Seven Seas Grandeur.

The sixth cruise ship in the fleet will debut in late 2023.

“The culmination of a 30-year heritage of perfection, Seven Seas Grandeur is the latest evolution in luxury cruising,” Jason Montague, president and chief executive officer, Regent Seven Seas Cruises said.

“Her refined style, matchless elegance and breath-taking beauty will exceed all expectations of our discerning guests.”

Seven Seas Grandeur will host 750 guests and have a gross tonnage of 55,254, providing among the highest space ratios and staff to guest ratios in the industry.

She is a sister ship to Seven Seas Explorer, the most luxurious ship ever built and Seven Seas Splendor, the ship that perfects luxury.

Regent Seven Seas will open reservations for the cruise ship on 23 September 2021.

Compass Rose

Seven Seas also revealed details of the luxury cruise ship’s signature specialty restaurant, Compass Rose.

To enter guests must past a cascading waterfall. Once inside, they will find a canopy of interwoven crystal and wood-edge illuminated trees arching overhead, giving the impression of dining in a beautiful and enchanted forest.

As the sun goes down and dinner is served, thousands of individually placed crystal-faceted leaves encrusted on the pillars illuminate the restaurant from floor to ceiling.

Designer Yohandel Ruiz, from Studio DADO said the effect is “truly a feast for the eyes”.

Compas Rose’ menu is just as decadent. Guests can uniquely curate their own menu from preferred sides, sauces, pasta and mains, such as Black Angus filet mignon, New Zealand lamb chops, Maine lobster tail and king sea scallops.
