Officina Armare unveils new Lamborghini-inspired speedboat concept
The Lamborghini on water resembles the car brand in more ways than its looks.
Officina Armare, an acclaimed Milan-based yacht design studio, recently unveiled a new superboat concept inspired by Lamborghinis. Called A43, the looks aren’t the only thing that resembles the legendary car brand, reaching speeds of more than 80 knots and an impressive cruising speed of 50 knots.
To improve the boat’s aerodynamics, the design features the same aggressive lines as the cars – as eye-catching as they are functional – and a sloping windshield, an inverted bow, air entrapment tunnels and narrow LED headlights.
The ultra-light carbon fiber body will be powered double Mercury 540 engines for power efficiency and Caterpillar Three60 Pod Drives to ensure smooth sailing. The lateral bow thruster, which is fitted near the bow, improves manoeuvrability at lower speeds and while docking.
The interior is minimalistic, with carbon, wood and leather detailing, yet has all the necessary amenities, such as shower facilities and living area housing a dining table, fridge, stove and sofa for four.
The most lust-worthy addition is the dedicated Champagne compartment between the lounge seats on the upper deck, so that occupants will always have a glass of bubbles on hand.
