Cat person, dog person or somewhere in between, there’s no denying the importance of pets – so why not treat them to a stay at one of the world’s luxury pet-friendly hotels? Tabby Wilson finds the best of the best.
There’s nothing like booking a trip to a decadent hotel, but all too often that means leaving furry family members behind. Fortunately, there are some exceptions to the rule and a number of five-star properties have pet policies that promise to pamper on par with their human guests. From fine dining to premium amenities, these hotels and resorts go above and beyond for their four-legged guests.
The Langham, Sydney

Pet-sitting and dog-walking services are available on request and after a long day exploring the city, your furry friends can relax on their very own Langham plush pink bed.
Cliveden House, UK
Canine companions are welcomed with open arms at Cliveden House, an award-wining stately home in Berkshire, England with hundreds of years of history. Luxurious bedrooms have doggie amenities ready and waiting, and the charming Astor Grill has a range of culinary options for pups to pick from.
