Jets Swimwear celebrates 20 years of making women feel fabulous
The Australian designer has partnered with Jessica Gomes for the commemorative collection.
Jets Swimwear Australia held its #20YRSFAB event on the newly renovated seventh floor of David Jones Elizabeth Street, Sydney to commemorate 20 years of making women feel confident in their own skin. Jets general manager, Kerry Cusack, explained that all Jets swimwear concepts are tested and made for real women with the aim of making each and every one feel empowered when wearing swimwear.
Australian model Jessica Gomes partnered with Jets to release its 20th-year celebration collection and was there to help launch the new range. She explained that this launch was the first project she has been able to take real ownership of and was proud to be working alongside Jets and David Jones. Television presenter Sophie Falkiner and entrepreneur Penny Locaso, founder of BKindred and the ‘happiness hacker’ behind ‘Future Proof with Penny Locaso’, were also among the women promoting the campaign. Guests also previewed a short film on the brand, where Sophie admitted she had been critical of her body in the past, however, she has been able to develop gratitude for her body and all that it has created and achieved.
The highlight of the event was the fashion parade, showcasing both the new Jessica Gomes collaboration and pieces pulled from the archives. It was a challenge to pick out which pieces were from the earlier lines, incontrovertible proof of Jets’ timeless aesthetic.
Swimwear is an essential when packing for a summer getaway and, with its high-end and elegant style, Jets Swimwear is a must for every wardrobe. The new collection is available exclusively at David Jones.
