Illa Experience Hotel

Illa Experience is a luxury boutique hotel in Quito opened on December 2017 in the historic city center of the city. This unique property offers a concept that emulates the hospitality of Ecuadorian families. Its goal is to portray Quito for what it really is, a place full of traditions, authenticity and charisma. It has 10 rooms, 6 Standard Luxury and 4 Suites. Preserving its uniqueness, it was restored in a way that all our guests can witness the three different historic periods of the house: colonial, republican and modern.

A series of interesting experiences delivered by San Marcos community are offered daily promoting interaction between guests and local residents and artisans. Illa is the first hotel in Quito offering the concept of real experiences in the country.

Some experiences include visiting the workshop of a local artisan and observe as he hand-carves traditional wooden toys, watercolor painting in one of the neighbourhood’s many art studios with one of the museum's artists or trying a traditional treat.

Being a restored colonial house, the hotel did not change many walls, nor did it alter any structures. Illa Experience is a small hotel with 10 rooms, but it can host events at the Terrace and the Rooftop Bar. It is the ideal setting for outdoor events with a private atmosphere.

These areas can accommodate around 50 people. Combining the traditional structure with modern decor makes the hotel a glamorous and stylish place to gather.
