Snow fun on and off the slopes at Hotham Alpine Resort
Hotham Alpine Resort is a unique alpine village nestled in the snowy Victorian Alps. With great views and endless activities to suit everyone, Hotham is the perfect place for a winter getaway.
One of the many reasons Hotham is so unique is that it’s the only resort in the Southern Hemisphere where the village is at the peak and not the base of the ski slopes. Famous for its diverse and exciting terrain, avid skiers and boarders can step out of their accommodation and onto the slopes from as early as 7.30am, five mornings a week. Hotham’s vast terrain means that there are runs to suit all levels of skiing and snowboarding, from first-timers to experts.
The Big D Kids Hub is where all the action happens for the youngsters. Over the school holidays Hotham hosted Legoland™, where parents and kids built and created their masterpieces. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, sing along with Hotham’s favourite mascot, Harry the Snow Dragon.
For the adults, after your day on the slopes, why not enjoy a tasty cocktail and listen to some music played live almost every night at one of the many cafes and bars?
Once you’ve finished your skiing or snowboarding, just 10 minutes down the road, tucked among the snow gums is Dinner Plain village. Dinner Plain’s unique architecture is built to match the colours of the snow gums, creating a wholesome, welcoming vibe for families to enjoy snow play, tobogganing and sliding down the slopes at the Tubepark. If it’s a little bit of luxury you’re after, The Onsen offers spa and massage treatments, and features a Japanese-inspired outdoor Onsen heated to 38° Celsius, perfect for warming up after a chilly winter’s day.
With so much to offer, Hotham is the perfect location for your winter escape with the family.
