Grant Burge releases the latest in their Icon range
The 2013 vintages from Grant Burge’s Icon range have been much anticipated by fans of the celebrated winery.
Barossa winery Grant Burge has released new vintages of their prized Icon wines much to the delight of wine connoisseurs the world over. The award-winning Shadrach Cabernet Sauvignon and Meshach Shiraz were named in honour of the Meshach Burge, the great grandfather of founder Grant Burge, cementing them as key wines in the Grant Burge portfolio.
The Barossa region and its Mediterranean climate are particularly unique, producing a huge variety of fruit across its diverse sub-regions. The Burge family have been associated with winemaking in the valley since 1865, so it’s not surprising that they have become widely recognised for crafting distinctive Barossa wines of consistent quality and integrity.
Meshach is the winery’s flagship Shiraz, crafted from premium grapes and only released in exquisite vintages. Hailed for its graceful aging and beautifully balanced flavour, this full-bodied wine features a bouquet of dark chocolate, black forest cake, cherry, liquorice and hints of ripe plum.
The Grant Burge Shadrach has been sourced from Barossa vineyards that are renowned for producing an enchanting Cabernet Sauvignon, resulting in a rich and complex wine with great character and outstanding length. With a textured and rich flavoured palate, the wine heroes blackcurrant and blackberries with notes of mint, hints of vanilla and dried autumn leaf.
