Uncover the essence of Bali

Learn the intricate art of traditional Balinese script with an Aksara Bali writing session. Savour the Source, a beachfront dining experience, honours Conrad Bali’s long-standing partnerships with local suppliers. The Nusantara Night and Balinese Kecak Dinner combine Indonesia’s incredible culinary diversity with traditional dance and music, including fire dancing.

Don’t miss the resort’s Signature Sensory Odysseys, which pay tribute to the island’s cultural tapestry through a range of carefully curated offerings, from the Art of Sound Healing set in Conrad Bali’s Infinity Chapel to designing the signature Conrad Bali No.20 fragrance during the Olfactory Experience. Expand your culinary skills with the Scenography Cooking Class, which includes mastering salt panning at a farm or visiting an organic estate to delve into the details of regenerative farming. Conrad Bali’s Full Moon Celebration involves crafting traditional Balinese Hindu offerings, Canang Sari, and amulet bracelets, Tri Datu, followed by an authentic Balinese ritual at the resort’s temple, then a three course dinner menu at beachfront restaurant, Eight Degrees South.

For the adventurous

Take a drive in a vintage off-road vehicle through Bali to the shore of Lake Beratan and the rim of Bedugul Rainforest. This full-day excursion includes canoeing around the lake followed by a picnic at a waterfall as part of the resort’s Speakeasy Foraging and Forest Bathing experience.

Set out on a Nusa Dua Tandem Bike Tour & Picnic. A local guide will take you to pedal through some of Nusa Dua’s secret spots. Stopping at a hidden cove for a four-course picnic and photoshoot opportunity.

Spa experiences

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Conrad Bali has introduced the Tree of Life Spa Experience. Paying homage to the coconut palm, you can enjoy treatments with coconut-based scrubs, and coconut oil massages. Rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants, and with anti-inflammatory properties, coconut oil deeply moisturizes the skin, imbuing it with suppleness and vitality.

Sleep therapy

Have sleep-related issues or want to improve your overall sleep quality? Book a session with resident Balinese healer, Ayu Mas as she weaves the ancient arts of sound healing using crystal singing bowls and crystal healing therapy.

Combining ancient and contemporary techniques to create a tranquil experience that transcends relaxation, SWAY is a 60-minute sleep therapy unique to Conrad Bali. After a brief meditation to centre the mind and body, guests are suspended in a cocoon-like hammock under a weighted blanket and heated eye pillow, which calms the nervous system and any wandering thoughts. Being gently rocked in a rhythmic swaying motion invites the sweet bliss of sleep, while acupressure massage on the back and neck dissolves any muscular tension. Aromatherapy and the sounds of nature deepen the feeling of peace. Mimicking the comfort of how one might feel lying in a fluffy cloud or the dark warmth of the womb, SWAY sleep therapy has been proven to have lasting effects after the session, offering a deeper, more restful night’s sleep.

Crafting with purpose

The Mountain Mamas: Crafting with Purpose workshop will teach you how to create your own reusable bag from recycled materials. You’ll hear about the crucial importance of sustainable practices and reducing plastic waste, and learn about how leading environmental NGO Bye Bye Plastic Bags and Mountain Mamas are transforming the lives of rural Balinese women living on the slopes of Mount Batukaru. The women have been creating beautiful, reusable bags from pre-loved materials, including Conrad Bali’s discarded linens.

Cocktail and cooking classes

Learn about the traditional Balinese spirit arak. Derived from the fermented sap of palm fruit trees, as well as a mix of grains and other fruits, arak has been an integral part of Balinese life for centuries. It graces religious ceremonies and family celebrations. For the mixology class, Conrad Bali uses arak from local distillery, Dewi Sri Arak. With a legacy dating back to 1968 in Sanur, Bali.

Food is one of the building blocks of culture. We believe that the best way to immerse yourself into a culture is with a cooking class. Learn the secrets behind the dishes in a personal cooking class beginning with selecting your own herbs during a guided tour of the resort’s rooftop herb garden and uses ingredients from local farmers, fishers, and artisans. Or during the Scenography Cooking Class, you will travel to Bali’s northeast coast to visit the Amed Sea Salt Farm or tour the Astungkara Way organic farm.
