Celebrity Cruises has unveiled its newest ship, Celebrity Beyond – the third ship to join the company’s Edge Series.
The Edge Series ships redefine luxury at sea. Yet, if you thought its predecessors Celebrity Edge (2018) and Celebrity Apex (2020) were impressive, Celebrity Beyond has raised the bar yet again.
Not only will it be 20 metres longer, one floor higher and offer 179 more suites and staterooms than her sister-series ships, it will also feature re-imagined, more opulent versions of the brand’s signature spaces.
For instance, The Retreat, an exclusive resort-within-a-resort area for suite guests, will feature a new two-storey sundeck, a private restaurant and an exclusive lounge.
The sundeck will offer secluded cabanas and chic seating areas, while the Retreat Lounge offers a place to warm up and unwind. At the private restaurant, Luminae, the menu changes daily so there’s always something new to try.
The Rooftop Garden has also expanded to include a stunning new Resort Deck. Here, guests will find even more seating including private nooks for movie watching and outdoor dining at Rooftop Grill.
The highlight of these areas is the incorporation of two floating pools, cantilevered six and a half feet over the side of the ship.
The signature Edge Series cantilevered Magic Carpet has also returned. This tennis-court sized platform hovers above the ocean, offering guests uninterrupted vistas while sipping cocktails or having dinner.
At the aft of Celebrity Beyond will be a multi-level, multi-terraced Sunset Bar with a Moroccan influence. While inside, the redesigned Grand Plaza now spans three decks and centres around a circular Martini Bar and chandelier. Connected to the Plaza is the first-ever Daniel Boulud fine-dining restaurant at sea, aptly named Le Voyage.
Accommodation options will range from modern two-storey villas with private plunge pools to staterooms with infinite verandas. Both options, seamlessly blend the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living to make the most of the endless ocean vistas.
Guests after a wellness experience can opt for the AquaClass SkySuites, an immersive living experience that helps guests find their centre. The ship will also feature products from goop CEO and founder Gwyneth Paltrow, the brand’s new Wellbeing Advisor.
Beyond expectations, beyond imagination
“Celebrity Beyond shatters any and every preconceived notion of the cruising experience. This exquisite ship offers a journey at the intersection of elegance and approachability filled with what’s important to our guests today: forward-thinking design, culinary excellence, unparalleled wellbeing and incomparable service,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, Celebrity Cruises President and CEO.
“With Celebrity Beyond, we saw an opportunity to take the extraordinary features of Celebrity Edge… and really amplify them,” added Richard Fain, Chairman of Royal Caribbean Group, the parent company of Celebrity Cruises.
The ships’ next-level design is a collaborative effort from a renowned team of designers. This includes multi-award-winning Kelly Hoppen CBE, celebrated American designer Nate Berkus, lauded Paris-based design firm Jouin Manku, and British architect Tom Wright of WKK.
