Most romantic, most private, most attentive to detail, and the most genuine smile from our butler Thy. Having been around so many different properties in Asia I honestly think this place is second to none. best money spent.

Setting Deep in Cambodia’s remote wilderness
Luxury tented camp with river and waterfall views

Bensley Collection – Shinta Mani Wild is a radical new concept for a unique luxury tented camp experience within the remote wilderness of the Southern Cardamom National Park, three hours’ drive from Phnom Penh.

The property combines world class design, hospitality and conservation. Located along 1.5 kilometres of river and waterfalls, this super-luxe property features 15 custom-designed tents elevated over the swift moving water and waterfalls, providing a view and experience unlike any other resort in Asia.  Each tent has been meticulously designed to invoke the feeling of what it would have been like on a luxury safari in the jungles of Cambodia with Jackie Onassis.

Due to the local wildlife the preference is for meals to be consumed in the restaurant.

There’s no such thing as a typical day at Bensley Collection – Shinta Mani Wild. Guests might find themselves embarking on a midnight mining raid with wildlife rangers, traversing secret backwaters on pontoon-style boats, enjoying just-caught crab or discovering – and tasting – Cambodia’s natural larder in the company of expert naturalists. The camp champions the spirit of adventure, inviting visitors to interact authentically with its incredible national parkland setting.

Recognising that its environment is incredibly precious, Shinta Mani Wild has partnered with the Wildlife Alliance: a non-profit organisation whose work includes catching poachers and illegal loggers. Adventurous types can head out with the rangers on motorbikes, spending a day with the team as they clear the forests of snares and mines. Patrols are tailored to guests’ tastes and fitness levels: shorter Jeep safaris, snare-viewings and trips to the Shinta Mani-funded ranger station – handily positioned just above our tents – are also on offer.

Nautical types can take to the waters. The six-metre-long luxury boats have been artfully crafted from wood and metal. These are Bill Bensley-designed – so naturally they also each have a fully-equipped bar and a top deck with a daybed, a sunroof and sun loungers. Drop anchor in a beautiful backwater and go kayaking in the upper reaches of the estuary.

Indulge in pampering treatments starring our own Khmer tonics at The Khmer Tonics Spa. Our signature spa ritual combines medicinal plant infusion with ingredients foraged from the rainforest.  The spa’s two treatment rooms are nestled amid dramatic natural rocks. Sensibly the design takes its cues from the forest, with plenty of wood and stone however the river takes centre stage too. Enjoy a river-stone foot massage while soaking in a waterfall pool.  Relaxing has never been so exhilarating.  All spa treatments are included as part of the room rate.

The Tents at Shinta Mani Wild

Wild Tents

The camp’s Wild Tents sit above the river, with incredible views of the Cardamom forest. As the seasons change the river ebbs and flows, meaning that you’ll never have the same experience twice.

Waterfall Tents

The four Waterfall Tents are located at either end of the camp, with stunning views of either the river rapids or the Raging Sister Waterfalls. Relax in your private outdoor bathtub while you soak up the ambiance.

Two Bedroom Tent

If you have a bigger group, the Two Bedroom Tent is the one for you. The tent, sitting just to the north of the Raging Big Sister Falls, hangs over the river’s widest tributary. Stroll along above the rapids on a series of wooden walkways.
