Ayrburn is New Zealand’s world-class wine destination

Located on the outskirts of Queenstown in New Zealand, Ayrburn is quickly becoming a world-class destination for food and wine.

Since its launch, Ayrburn has been making headlines for its range of gastronomic offerings, including the likes of The Woolshed, The Burr Bar and The Barrel Room. Simultaneously, the region has become a known name in the viticultural industry, curating a range of wines that showcase the diversity of the Central Otago region and its terroir.

Exclusively available for tasting at their venues, Ayrburn’s cool-climate wines are paired with the region’s best produce to create the ultimate must-taste experience. Some wines have already received recognition including three gold medals for the Ayrburn Rose, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc, and a double gold for the Ayrburn Ten Acre Pinot Noir 2022 at the New Zealand International Wine Show.

The faces behind Ayrburn’s range of wine include Master of Wine, Sophie Parker-Thomson, international winemaking consultant Matt Thomson, winemaker Jody Pagey and viticulturist Gary Crabbe.

Sophie speaks of the Ayrburn experience, saying, “Ayrburn’s food and wine experience is unprecedented for the region, or indeed the country. Ayrburn’s range of wines is available across all of the precinct’s venues, including guided wine tastings at The Barrel Room and wine flights at The Manure Room. At each venue, a menu of locally sourced produce has been developed to pair exquisitely with each wine in the range for the ultimate experience for food and wine lovers.
