Avalon Waterways returns to the land of the Pharoahs
Avalon Waterways is taking guests to the culturally rich lands of Egypt, returning after a brief hiatus. Introducing a new Taste of Egypt itinerary, the company invites eager guests aboard the luxurious MS Farah to explore a country that is full of history while sailing down the famous Nile River.
The 10-day journey begins in Cairo, with travellers exploring the Pyramids of Giza, the alabaster sphinx in Memphis and the contents of Tutankhamun’s tomb at the Egyptian Museum. Passengers of the 62-room ship will then board in Luxor, sailing down the longest river in the world while stopping to see the famous sites along its banks. From their home on the water, guests will visit the Avenue of the Sphinxes, the Temple of Amun-Ra and the Valleys of Kings and Queens respectively.
