The Australian launch of the Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition has been confirmed for the fourth quarter of 2021.
Aston Martin unveiled it’s highly anticipated Vantage performance car on Monday but Australian drivers will have to wait a little longer for the price.
The new Aston Martin Vantage F1 has the same engine, chassis and aero upgrades as the Formula 1 safety car.
First deliveries of the Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition will start in England in May, priced at £142,000 ($254,500).
This Aston Marin has been built to offer race track performance on the road.
It has a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and power is up by 25PS to a new maximum of 535PS.
The peak torque remains unchanged at 685Nm. But the F1 edition will sustain that peak for longer to increase tractability and in-gear urgency.
This car is aimed at drivers who love to use their Aston Martin for track days.
The new Vantage has detailed underbody modifications to increase stiffness at the front of the car, improving steering feel and response.
Aston has also reworked the damper internals to increase its effective force range. This car will also have increased rear spring rates and lateral stiffness to sharpen turn-ins and increase traction over bumps.
