For travellers who seek the finest that the world has to offer

7 of the most beautiful beaches in the world

There’s nothing quite like lying on the sands of a beautiful beach when you need some serious R&R. We take a look at 7 of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Anse Lazio, Praslin, Seychelles

This stunning slice of the Seychelles is one of the most photographed beaches in the world – and for very good reason. Framed by breezy palms and granite boulders and blanketed with white sand and azure waters, this beach is on another level of natural beauty. Whether you’re after relaxation or romance, Anse Lazio is the place to get it.

7 Mile Beach, Negril, Jamaica

If you can get past the rather persistent vendors parked along the shore, 7 Mile Beach is an absolute paradise for those who want a destination that looks like it leapt straight off a postcard. The beach itself is flanked by lush greenery and its sands are littered with tropical huts and loungers, making it the perfect place to kick back, relax and let your worries float away.

Whitehaven Beach, The Whitsundays, Australia

Stretching along 7km of stunning Whitsunday Island, the largest of The Whitsundays, Whitehaven is a total superstar of the beach world. Turquoise waters trimmed with white sands make it one of the most photographed beaches in Australia, as well as one of the most enjoyed. Make sure to visit Hill Inlet on the northern end of the beach, a stunning cove just made for photographs.

Matira Beach, Bora Bora, French Polynesia

This long stretch of snow-white sand, tropical foliage and sapphire waters is almost too good to be true. Matira Beach is one of Bora Bora’s very few public-access beaches, which means it can be enjoyed without the hefty five-star resort pricetag. Beauty with substance!

Blinky Beach, Lord Howe Island, Australia

This beautiful Aussie gem offers clear waters and picturesque surrounds. While it’s a popular spot for surfers to catch a wave, it’s also the perfect place to relax and appreciate the beautiful country that we live in.

Honopu Beach, Kauai, Hawaii

While Honopu Beach, often referred to as Cathedral Beach, isn’t easily accessible (you can only get to it by water), it’s worth each and every hassle. From its creamy coloured sand and emerald waters, to its soaring cliffs and sexy seclusion, this beach hits all the notes – and then some! It’s no surprise that it’s been featured in movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Six Days and Seven Nights.

White Beach, Boracay, The Philippines

White Beach is so magnificent to look at, it’s almost surreal. With its fluffy, snow-like sand, lively boardwalk, and crystal-blue waters adorned with colourful paraws, this beach is a true standout. Considering The Philippines is fast becoming one of the hottest destinations for beach getaways, it might be time to give it a visit.
